Why About Face

The difference is medical oversight.

About Face is built on the idea that aesthetic treatments are medical treatments. They involve prescription products, needles, energy devices and real contraindications — and they belong in a setting where someone can see your full chart.

Every treatment would be performed in the clinic, by licensed medical providers working within their scope of practice, with your medications, allergies and health history already on file. If something needs to be paused, adjusted or referred, that decision happens the same day.

01

Clinical setting

Treatments take place in exam rooms, with medical-grade sterilization and emergency protocols already in place.

02

Licensed medical providers

Injectables and skin treatments are performed by licensed medical providers working within their scope of practice.

03

Your history on file

Medications, allergies and conditions are reviewed before anything is planned — not asked about on an intake form.

Lauren Harbin, FNP, who performs aesthetic treatments at About Face.

Your provider

Treated by the person who knows your chart.

Lauren Harbin, FNP, owns and leads Qualls Harbin Family Medicine, and she is the provider you will see at About Face. That means the person planning your treatment is the same person who already knows your medications, your history and what you are being treated for elsewhere.

It also means honest answers. If a treatment is not right for you, or the timing is wrong, you will hear that instead of being sold something.

Treatment menu

What we offer.

Plain-English descriptions and typical session times. Pricing depends on the plan you and your provider agree on, so we quote it in writing at your consultation rather than on a menu.

Before & after

Results gallery.

We don’t publish stock or simulated results. This gallery will be populated only with photographs of our own patients, taken in standardised lighting, and only with documented written consent for public use.

Before & after photography requires signed, documented patient consent covering the specific channels where images will appear. Consent can be withdrawn, so the practice should keep an auditable record for every image published here.

Your first visit

Three steps, no pressure.

01

Consultation

A conversation and a skin assessment. We review your history, what bothers you, and what is realistically achievable — including when the answer is “nothing yet”.

02

Custom plan

A written plan with sequencing, expected number of sessions, downtime and cost before anything is booked, so there are no surprises at checkout.

03

Treatment & follow-up

Treatment in the clinic, aftercare instructions in writing, and a follow-up to assess results and adjust the plan.

Questions

Good to know.

Licensed medical providers from the Qualls Harbin care team, working within their scope of practice and under the same clinical oversight as the rest of your care.

It depends entirely on the treatment. Some are genuinely lunchtime appointments; resurfacing treatments and deeper peels can involve several days of redness or peeling. Your provider will tell you what to expect in writing before you book.

Duration varies by treatment, by product and by person, so we avoid quoting a single timeframe. Your consultation will cover realistic maintenance intervals for the specific plan you choose.

Ask at your consultation. Where a treatment works best as a series, we will price the series and put it in writing before you commit to anything.

Yes. Every new patient starts with a consultation so we can review your health history, confirm you’re a suitable candidate, and plan sequencing properly.

Consultations are the only way we book treatment. Send a request and the front desk will follow up during office hours.
